Approximately $3,500.00 in parts & paint went into this tractor.
MF 135 UK - 1972. This tractor has a Perkins three cylinder diesel model AD3-152 with a claimed 45.5 HP. The manufacturer's specs
say the PTO horse power is 38 HP. It has a 3 speed transmission plus 2 speed high/low.
The MF 135 UK model compared to the MF 135 US model ... The Massey Ferguson 135 was an amazing all-round good tractor of which
many are still around today. The differences between the UK and American models are mostly cosmetic but one of the main features of the UK
model was the good power steering with cylinders right behind the front axle right at the steering knuckles. Some of the other differences are;
the fenders have the foot guard drops, the paint scheme is a little different (silver wheels verses red and silver), the round 135 emblem on
the hood sides are at the front not the back, the headlights are built onto the grill not outside the grill, and both the dash and the running
boards are a little different. Basically the engine, hydraulics, running gear, etc, is identical.
Below is a photo tour of the tractor being rebuilt. All photos enlarge if you click on them.
